This post has been a long time coming… and when I say long, I mean long. It’s been on my mind and in the works for over a year and I am thrilled to bring you Square Root!
Hungry by Nature is rebranding as Square Root!
Same great taste, just a brand new look.
If you have been around here for awhile, you know that I launched my granola line after being diagnosed with Celiac disease. The diagnosis left me feeling frustrated at the options available at the grocery story and sad at the shared experiences I was missing out on.
I missed pot lucks at work, eating birthday cake at parties, going out for group dinners and sharing meals. Celiac didn’t just take away my ability to eat gluten, but the joy of sharing experiences with my friends and family.
Launching Hungry by Nature grain free granola allowed me to create a product that could seamlessly fit in my life and help gain those experiences back!
After three years of hard work and your support, Hungry by Nature has grown into something I only dreamed of. I still pinch myself when I walk into Whole Foods and see my granola on the shelf!
But I found that the story of behind my products weren’t communicated through the name, packaging, or overall brand. Throughout 2020, I have been working with a creative designer to help reimagine Hungry by Nature and build the brand I always new it could be.
So why Square Root?
About a year ago, we decided we wanted to redesign Hungry by Nature, not rebrand, just bring in someone who can make the brand look as incredible as the products taste. We hired a designer who suggested we explore the idea of a new name – simply to see if we could come up with something that helps us tell the story of Hungry by Nature in a better way.
We spent over a month with our designer talking about the brand – why we started, what our mission is, what our goals our, the people we serve, the problems we solve – and doing word generation exercises surrounding themes that these discussions brought to light.
After all of this work, we came up with Square Root.
The meaning behind Square Root is simple – if you look at it in math terms, the square root of a number is that number in its most basic form. And that is exactly the way we feel about food.
Our products are all made of real food in its most basic form.
If you look at our ingredients lists, you see nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and spices. Real food. Food you can feel good about putting into your body. Food you can feel great about sharing with your friends and family. Food that loves you back, just as much as you love it.
I hope you love Square Root just as much as I do! And if you are looking to try it out take 20% off your first order by using the code ‘EATSQUAREROOT’ at checkout.
love and nutnola,
