Rosemary Gin Fizz // Good Life

A simple cocktail to make for yourself or for a crowd this New Year’s Eve – the Rosemary Gin Fizz! Pair it with Kanye’s ‘Good Life’ and life will be just that – really freaking GOOD.New Year's Eve Rosemary Gin Fizz | #gin #cocktail #drink #nye #newyearseve #nyecocktail #rosemary | hungrybynature.comI seriously cannot believe that 2018 is next week. Where the F did 2017 go??

I mean, I know where it went. It just went a lot faster than I anticipated and am shocked that New Year’s Eve is on Sunday. But let’s talk.

What are your plans for NYE?? Are you headed to a bar or club to ring in the new year in style? Are you the house party type? Or are you the stay-at-home and maybe not even make it to midnight type?

I love house parties for New Years. Bars are too crowded and usually over priced. But house parties are my jam. Pat and I love hosting on NYE; but with the new house and travel, we just couldn’t make it work. Instead we’re having another couple over for the night. We’re going to make a big fancy dinner (this is the ultimate!), serve rosemary gin fizzes, and play What Do You Meme?

P.S. Pat got this game for Christmas and it is hysterical! We played it with his parents, and while there was a slight generational knowledge gap, they loved it just as much as I did 🙂New Year's Eve Rosemary Gin Fizz | #gin #cocktail #drink #nye #newyearseve #nyecocktail #rosemary | hungrybynature.com

So let’s talk this Rosemary Gin Fizz.

This is a simple spin on the classic Gin Fizz cocktail – gin (obvs), lemon juice, simple syrup, and club soda. BUT, we are making rosemary simple syrup and taking this party up a notch!

Simple syrup is really easy to make; just combine equal parts sugar and water on the stove and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Then add in a few sprigs of rosemary and let it steep. Voila – rosemary simple syrup!

And of course, there is no Lyrics & Libations without the Lyrics!

I’ve been waiting all year to pair a drink with my all time favorite artist. Yes, I love Kanye. Almost as much Kanye loves Kanye. 😉 People are usually surprised when they first find this out; but hey – there are still some things that you don’t know about me!

From the moment I saw this music video in 2009, I have been obsessed. It’s easily my all time favorite video and, of course, my all time favorite artist. It really just doesn’t get any better than this.

Cheers to 2017 and the Good Life!

I was so excited to see this recipe because I am a Kanye fan too. I am not a huge cocktail person, but this one looks delicious!
