June Favorites

Happy Sunday friends! I’m currently in Wisconsin – my gorgeous cousin got married last night (!!) and I decided to bring you this post a little ahead of schedule. Normally, I would have waited until Tuesday to share this with you, but Tuesday is the 4th and I am hoping that no one will be inside sitting on their computers! So, there won’t be a new recipe on Tuesday, but I will be back with something GOOD on Thursday. For now, here is everything else I loved this month.

Favorite Eats:

Rainbow Sangria

Last weekend was the Pride Parade and I am lucky enough to live along the route! We had a few friends over and made the most perfect cocktail for the party – rainbow sangria. I seriously think I ate 10 servings of fruit that day… oops! Strawberries, clementines, mango, pineapple, kiwi, blueberries, and blackberries.

Simple Chicken and Veggie Kebabs

Simple Chicken and Veggie Kebabs | paleo, AIP friendly, easy, recipe, grilled, marinade, onions, peppers, healthy, honey, soy | hungrybynature.com

This recipe was my favorite post from the whole month. Not only were these kebabs crazy simple to make, they are loaded with flavor.

Rosemary Greyhound Boozy Popsicles

I guest posted over on Jess’s blog and made the most epic drink/dessert popsicles. Check out the recipe HERE.

Favorite Events:

Breakfast for Dinner with siggi’s

As a brand ambassador for siggi’s, I was invited to their “Breakfast for Dinner” event a few weeks ago! We made tons of delicious food and then feasted. I helped make these gorgeous avocado toasts and yogurt-berry toasts… neither of which I could eat because, well, gluten. But I was able to eat the shakshuka and it was incredible!

Wedding Season Pts. 1 & 2

P.S. How handsome does Pat look?! <3

Favorite Products/Services:

Reusable Mesh Produce Bags

I recently purchased these bags on Amazon in an effort to cut down on my plastic bag usage. They are reusable and machine washable and I love taking them with me to the grocery store and the farmer’s market!

Accupressure Mat
This is another one of my Amazon purchases. I have heard a lot about the health benefits of accupressure mats… improves sleep and helps ease stress, pain, and tension throughout the body. The first few times I tried it, I didn’t feel as if it helped in any of those areas – maybe even the opposite. The mat is sharp and probably caused me more tension because I was freaking out. But I have been laying on it regularly and it has quickly become very soothing and I’ve even fallen asleep on it!

Favorite Things I…

read:

  • Book // Cold Tangerines by Shauna Niequist. I’ve been reading a lot of books lately about autoimmune diseases and how diet can affect autoimmune symptoms and it has been so refreshing to read something different! This book is a collection of short stories highlighting the extraordinary moments that happen in our every day lives. It helped me realize over and over again how blessed I am in my every day life and how thankful I am to be right where I am.
  • Blog // When is Enough Enough? on Erin’s Inside Job. Every single time I read something that Erin writes, I just nod my head over and over again. In this post, Erin talks about living your best life – what is best for YOU, not what is best for your girlfriend, or what you see on social media, but YOU. I also had the opportunity to have dinner with Erin and attend her wellness workshop last week – she is just as amazing in person and she is in her writing and I sincerely hope that you take some time to hear her story.

listened to:

  • Artist // Justin Bieber. I am not ashamed at all to tell you that I am OBsessed with J-Biebs. I still frequently listen to his 2015 album Purpose. But lately, I’ve been all about ‘I’m the One‘. LISTEN TO IT. <- I don’t mean to be aggressive, but seriously listen to it.
  • Podcast // How to Quit the Dieting Cycle and Manage Our Blood Sugar with Kelly LeVeque on That’s so Maven. I recently started listening to the That’s so Maven podcast and quickly became obsessed. On this episode, Davida interviews Kelly about why dieting doesn’t work and about managing blood sugar instead. This episode is super science-y and Kelly totally nerds out in this episode, which I love and appreciate.

Have a wonderful 4th of July!

It is always so cool to me when brand ambassadors get to go to an event hosted by their brand. A Siggi’s event sounds amazing.

It was so cool! And it was my first event I’ve ever been to so I felt a little starstruck but it was a blast 🙂
