I am trying something new today and if you are reading this, I would love to get your thoughts.
From the beginning, Hungry by Nature has been a place to share recipes. It has been a space meant to inspire you to bring balance into your life, starting in the kitchen. And as you well know, I love food. But there is probably a lot that you don’t know about me. For example, I make fake body parts for a living. Yup. That’s a thing. And it’s actually really cool – you should check it out!
As someone who has been a long-time reader of food blogs, I love getting peaks into the lives of those I follow. It makes me feel connected to them and invested in their lives, not just their recipes.
My intention with this Monthly Favorites series is to give you a better glimpse into me, my personality, and my life, especially the time I spend outside of the kitchen! Because I promise there is a lot more to me than food.
Here are all of the things I have been loving this January:
Healthy Human Water Bottle Stein
Healthy Human Water Bottle Stein: I had been following Healthy Human for a long time and was thrilled to have won a giveaway they hosted last December. I received their 32 ounce stein in orange sherbet and I am OB-sessed. This bottle will keep liquids cold for 24 hours and hot for 12. I literally carry it everywhere I go and aim to drink 3 full bottles each day.
Crushed Velvet Blush Loafers
Crushed Velvet Blush Loafers by STEVEN: I received these for Christmas and love love love them. They are the perfect blush pink and the crushed velvet is just so pretty. I wore them out for the first time on NYE and knew it was going to be a good night!
BackBeat Fit Wireless Headphones
I had been on the hunt for some wireless headphones when my friend Jess posted about her new pair. She reassured me these BackBeat Fit Wireless Headphones lived up to the hype and I would have to agree. It is awesome to run, lift, and bounce around without getting tangled in my iPhone cord. Plus they are sweat resistant π
Food Entrepreneur Summit
But the best thing about January, by far, was Nicole Culver’s Food Entrepreneur Summit. I first discovered Nicole last spring as I was beginning to connect with other bloggers. At the time, Hungry by Nature was very new and I was looking for a little guidance on how to reach you, my readers, and how to bring you the best content. To be honest, I was totally lost. I was creating recipes and writing blog posts and that was about it. I didn’t know how to get my content in front of people, other than my family (oh hi mom!), and I definitely didn’t know how people can make a business out of blogging.
I participated in Nicole’s first ever Food Summit last spring and completely blown away with everything I learned. Because of this course, I was able to create a plan for HBN – how to better create content that YOU are looking for, how to utilize Pinterest in order to drive traffic to my site, how to make sure I was covered legally in what I was doing, and so so much more. Since then, I have seen tremendous growth in my blog and was thrilled when she announced she would be hosting a second Food Entrepreneur Summit another starting January 4th.
The summit was 7 intensive days of masterclasses (18 in total!), covering every topic you can imagine – how to take better photos, food styling, pitching to brands, beating blogger burn out. You name it, Nicole had a class for it. But to me they didn’t really feel like “classes”, more like you are having a virtual coffee date with your BFF and just so happen to be learning a s***ton in the process.
Some of these BFFs included Jessica Merchant, Lindsay Freedman, Georgie Morley, and Davida Kugelmass. Along with the classes were worksheets for you to follow along, take notes, and make plans on how you can implement each topic into your blog/business.
I cannot tell you how much I learned through this course. Whether you are a food blogger, have a physical or digital product, this is the course for you. I could not recommend it enough (seriously, that’s why I became an affiliate for the course!).
Even though the live course is over, Nicole is offering access to all of the videos, PDF downloads, and course materials. If you are even the slightest bit interested in or intrigued by what Nicole is teaching, please comment below or send me an email. I would love to talk to you about it and help you decide if the Food Entrepreneur Summit is right for you!
Happy Friday friends and Happy February!

FOOD ENTREPENEUR summit; Nicole does such amazing work for food bloggers. She’s the most invaluable resource. And those healthy human life bottles; I really want to get one, because they seem like the best one out there.
Right?! Nicole is incredible and has helped me tremendously. And you must get one! I love mine and seriously carry it everywhere I go – you’ll love it! The hardest part is picking a color π
YES to the Food Summit! I still have a few videos left but I have loved watching the videos. They are totally like having a coffee chat with friends!
Right?! That’s one of the many reasons why I love it so much!
I’ve been in search of wireless headphones so this is such good timing!
You will seriously LOVE these! and they come in all sorts of fun colors π
