Candied Mixed Nuts

Made in your slow cooker, candied mixed nuts are a simple and sweet homemade gift to give this holiday season!

Candied mixed nuts are a simple and sweet way to spread holiday cheer - say Merry Christmas with candied nuts! | hungrybynature.com

I am a 100% believer in handmade Christmas gifts. A few years ago, I made huge batch of vanilla bourbon extract, packaged it in adorable brown bottles, and gifted them out to all of my coworkers and friends. Last year was cookies… lots and lots and lots of cookies. And this year is candied mixed nuts!

Pat and I threw a holiday party over the weekend – you might have seen some of the details on my Insta stories – and these cute bags of candied nuts were sent home with all of our guests as a treat to enjoy the next day!

Let’s talk about why these candied mixed nuts are amazing.

  1. This recipe can is made your slow cooker. The slow cooker I have is no longer available; but this is the improved version of mine and I hear it is wonderful!
  2. Change up the nuts! Do you have someone with an allergy to pecans or just hate walnuts? No fear – swap the nuts in an out as you would like. Just make sure to keep the same overall amount.
  3. Oh and they taste amazing. I’m embarrassed to tell you how many I ate as I was packaging these; let’s just pretend that it was zero, but I can assure you it was not.

We gave candied pecans as wedding favors because Alex was sweet, I’m from GA, and we were “nuts” about each other!

I’m obsessed with candied nuts! I totally couldn’t be trusted to bag them for guests without eating tons, either! Self control? What’s that?

Candied nuts are my favorite thing to get when I go to a craft show or festival! Sooo addicting. This is dangerous now that I know how to make them myself… I love how you packaged them ๐Ÿ™‚

Candied Nuts are my absolute favorite; and they are so easy when you don’t have time to bake. People always loved candied nuts too, often even if they don’t like nuts normally.

It is simple! AND you wouldn’t even really need to do it in your kitchen – just wherever you can plug in your slow cooker ๐Ÿ™‚

Candied nuts always remind me of Christmas-time. In college I used to go shopping in downtown Boston and there’d always be vendors selling these kind of nuts. I can’t wait to make them myself!

You should have smelled my house the day I made them. #heaven And seriously?! Yea I have no idea what I’m doing. Maybe if I had a scheduler to plan out tweets in advance that would help but I’m at a loss.

I’m 100% sold on homemade Christmas gifts too – especially when they look this good! I can’t believe you can do them in the slowcooker. That is awesome! I don’t know what I’d do without my crockpot!

I totally agree about gifting homemade. This is on our weekend must-try list. Not many days left before Christmas is here.

    Thank you for the inspiration.

    Be well!
