August Favorites

It’s pretty insane that today is September 5th. Somehow, the summer completely passed me by, but I’m here to say “Bring on fall!” Pat and I have some incredible trips planned for September and October, but let’s first take a look at my August Favorites!

Favorite Products/Services:

Vitamix A2300 Series Blender

For my birthday, I asked for a Vitamix and Pat/myself bought it for me! Ohhhh my goodness, I am obsessed. This thing has crazy power and it’s nice to eat a smoothie that doesn’t have chunks of kale in it…

Gluten Freedom Keychain

My bestie gave me this keychain for my birthday and I love it! Unfortunately I don’t know where it is from ūüôĀ

Favorite Events:

Wedding Season Part 4

Pat’s cousin got married in the city and the wedding was incredible! The reception was absolutely stunning and we took advantage and stayed downtown at the Langham.

Pinch of Yum Tasty Food Photography Workshop

I spent a few days in Minnesota attending the Pinch of Yum Tasty Food Photography Workshop and it was amazing. I’ve been following Lindsay and her blog for years and have always been impressed with her photography! I was thrilled to be able to learn from her and her team and I cannot wait to further implement all that I learned and to continue growing! (Above are my two favorite shots from the class.)

Favorite Eats:

Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas

Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas | paleo, whole30, weeknight dinner, low carb, healthy mexican food, easy, gluten free | hungrybynature.comThese fajitas were by far my favorite recipe from August. They are loaded with flavor and super simple to make. Add them to your meal prep for the week!

Salads for breakfast!

Who knew salads for breakfast could be so good?? I went on a huge salad kick this past month and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.

Favorite Things I…

watched:

  • Documentary¬†// The Keepers on Netflix. Have you watched this?! I feel like I am waaaaay behind the times in watching The Keepers, but it was really good. It was about the murder of a nun and the church covering it up. Really wild, definitely hard to watch at times, but I recommend it.

read:

  • Blog // My friend¬†Jess, at¬†Plays Well with Butter, wrote about little celebrations happening in her life and I loved reading it! I love getting a peak inside peoples’ lives outside of their blog and Jess (and her hubs) have been killing it this summer! Make sure you check out her blog for drool-worthy eats!

listened to:

  • Podcast // My Favorite Murder. I recently discovered MFM and immediately became all about it. I have always been a fan of true crime, and when the stories are told by two female comedians, you KNOW I’m going to be listening. If you are a true crime fan, give this a listen! And don’t forget – stay sexy and don’t get murdered.

Happy September friends!

Thank you to everyone who filled out my reader survey last week! If you haven’t had a chance do so, I would appreciate it if you could spend 3 minutes filling it out for me. You can get the survey HERE.
